Happy Monday! Did you all download the new 2013 version of the Colored Impressions Software? Oh my goodness … you will now have 1699 template designs to use. And in my opinion, it’s truly the very best cardmaking software out there. If you have not had a chance to see what I am talking about, please go to the Home Page and click on the Colored Impressions Software window and read the installation information carefully and watch the great tutorials. If you have the older versions, by installinig this new one you will gain 250 more template designs that show up in “living color” thanks to our talented Kerry! She has worked really hard to bring you this new version and I know you will all enjoy it.
Now then … here’s a funny story. Last year my classes used a template (L9519) that was NOT on the software program yet. We had the hardest time trying to figure out this design. We thought the top thing was a hat that we didn’t much care about.
It never dawned on us that this cutie is wearing ear muffs! Here he is in “living color” from the new software version. The first sample is just printed onto white cardstock and then embossed. My font is called “Frosty.” With the second sample, I just printed his face and embossed the face and separately added the embossed cardstock pieces:
Whichever version you prefer, my point is that once I saw him on the software, I could see exactly what each piece represented and the ear muffs were truly apparent. Now take a look at some “Joy” that Nettie brought into my life while I’ve been recouperating. She used L.I. Template #1001 to make these beautiful cards. She truly is a genius when it comes to card designing. Four entirely different looks with the very same template!
Embossing “joys,” Donna.
