Have you ever made a card using hair gel?  Sounds crazy, doesn’t it?  I recently did a class using hair gel and everyone loved it so much, I thought I would share the idea with you.  Here’s the card I did using L.I. Templates #L9366 and #L1042:

The bottom photo is the inside of my card and I did the same design on my envelope.  Now both of these templates have long been retired, but all is not lost.  If you have Colored Impressions Software, that’s all you really need!  The card base is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2″ folded in half.  The white card is 5 x 7 1/2″ folded in half.  You can print the fish on the inside of the white card, using the Software, and use a Nestie Oval Die to cut out the oval shape on the front of the white card.  Now before you fold and seal your white card, you will need a plastic bag (3×4″ at Michael’s) with a little hair gel inside.  You do not need much so be careful not to over-fill.  Attach the plastic bag to the inside of your oval hole and then close the white card up … sealing the bag inside with those cute little fish!  Now attach your white card to the front of your base card (I used Caribbean Chevron cardstock) and it’s done.  I used the Colored Impressions Softward and a scalloped Nestie Die for my wording and the little shell from the #L1042 “By the Sea” template.  It was very fun to do.  Try one!  Happy gel embossing!  🙂  Donna
