SPRING FLOWERS

Are you ready for spring?  I sure am but suddenly, here in San Diego, we are having summer already!  We’ve been in the 90’s all week long.  Time to stay inside with the A/C going!  Here are a few spring flowers to brighten your day … indoors!  🙂

First I tried Barbara’s blue tulip card in Raspberry Cream because my recent class theme was all about that rich raspberry color.  Here’s a little gift bag, below, I made using Sugar Blossom cardstock with those same rich colors.  The daisy template is #L9188.  Then I used the Colored Impressions’ Software to reduce the tag size of #L9206 and added the “To” and “From” to the tag and matched the raspberry color of the flowers.  Took me seconds to do! The little gate is a Memory Box Die that I love to stick in my designs whenever I can!  I’m obsessed with that gate and not ashamed to admit it.  LOL

Next I made a matching card to go with this gift bag.  Again I stayed with the raspberry colors and I used the daisy once again, #L9188 with flower #L9256.  My sentiment says, “Life is BRIGHTER with you in it.”  I first saw this design when team member Nettie made a similar card.  She’s so darn creative and I love her cards!  Here’s my version:

The inside of the card looks like this (I love that ladybug!):

One L.I. friend (and mine too!) sent me this card below and while it’s not raspberry in color, I love the Caribbean papers she used (#L9137).  Thanks Marian for your beautiful card:

So now I’m inspired to do my spring card in Caribbean colors (see how easily I am inspired?):

Wow … Nettie’s design looks great in any color … don’t you agree?  I hope you will try your own in these lovely spring colors.  More spring ideas coming up along with next month’s guy cards!  Embossing joys, 🙂  Donna
