Summer is almost here and while I’ve enjoyed my “jungle adventure,” I thought I better get on with it and show off some of the other new Lasting Impressions’ templates. Here’s a look at some ideas using the Summer Flowers template #L9758:
From Barbara: L9757, L9758, S883
This card definitely looks like summer to me! I love how Barbara spelled-out “hello,” using the new “Just saying” template.
Here she has used “Just saying” once again for a very cute “hello friend.”
This one definitely speaks of summer … a day on the beach in Hawaii, maybe!

This card is similar to the “peek” you get on the Home Page that Kerry designed. I love the new Kumquat and Watering Can papers together. And doesn’t the white daisy just pop out? I love it! 🙂 You will see me use Scribbles 3-D Paint on my cards (the little white dots in the corner). I can’t tell you exactly why I use those 3 dots so often, but I do!
One of the neat things about the Chevron Template, you can use it like I have here … embossed, or remember that you can use Embossing Paste and also, what I like to do, use Tim Holtz Distressed Inks with a finger dobber and tap the color on the zig-zag design as I did in the previous Father’s Day Card Blog with the fishing hat. Go back and look!
I sent this Thank You card to my buddy Kaye at Lasting Impressions. I’m showing off several elements. I cut the zig-zag out of the Lily Pad Chevron paper (I love that idea); I faux stitched it with some dashes; and, layered it twice with mounting tape. I used a Spellbinder Nestie to frame my Raspberry Cream Stripes daisy and used 3 black L.I. buttons. There’s those darn 3 Scribble dots in the corner, along with some faux squiggle-lines that I drew. The wording is done with the Colored Impressions’ Software.
Thanks for looking at the new Summer Flowers template. Embossing joys, 🙂 Donna
